Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026. These Terms apply to everyone who uses Clip Central.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Clip Central ("Clip Central", "we", "us"), a platform that connects content owners — creators, streamers, podcasters and brands ("Campaign Owners") — with independent creators who cut, publish and promote short-form clips ("Clippers"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clip Central.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to create an account. You agree to provide accurate registration details, keep your password secure, and remain responsible for all activity on your account. One person may hold one account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, that submit fraudulent clips or engagement, or that attempt to manipulate campaign metrics or payouts.
3. Roles on the platform
Campaign Owners supply the source content, campaign briefs, rates, budgets and dates, and are responsible for holding the rights needed to run those campaigns. Clippers cut clips from approved source content and publish them on the platforms each campaign supports. Clip Central operates the platform, sets the campaign rules, reviews submissions and records earnings; it is not a party to any agreement between a Campaign Owner and a Clipper beyond these Terms.
4. Clips and submissions
Clips must be cut from the campaign's approved source content, follow the campaign brief, be published on a supported platform, and be submitted with the correct video link and posting date. We may verify posting dates and view counts before approving a clip. Clips that use unlicensed material, mislead viewers, inflate views, spam, or otherwise break a campaign's rules may be rejected. Clip Central is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for TikTok or any other platform on which clips are published.
5. Earnings, fees and payouts
Earnings are calculated on our servers from verified data using the campaign's payment model — cost per thousand eligible views (CPM), a flat amount per approved clip, or a retainer — and are shown before the platform fee is deducted. Earnings become payout-eligible when a clip is approved, the gross earnings are greater than zero, and they meet the campaign's minimum payout. Amounts are stated in South African Rand.
Payouts are made by bank transfer to the payout details you save on your dashboard. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details; we are not liable for transfers sent to details you entered incorrectly. Payouts move through a status flow (pending, processing, paid, failed) and are recorded with a payment date and transaction reference. We may hold or reverse payouts linked to fraudulent or reversed engagement.
6. Platform fee
Clip Central deducts a platform fee — a percentage of a clip's gross earnings — from each approved clip before the Clipper is paid. The fee percentage is shown on each campaign before you join it, and the deducted amount is visible on the campaign and in your earnings history.
7. Campaign Owner obligations
Campaign Owners must hold or have licensed all rights needed for the campaigns they run, ensure briefs and source content are lawful, and honour campaign budgets and dates as published. Campaigns may be paused or closed where the budget is exhausted, the campaign period ends, or the content breaches these Terms or the law.
8. Intellectual property
Clip Central owns the platform, its design, software and brand. Campaign Owners retain ownership of their source content and grant Clip Central and participating Clippers the limited rights needed to run the campaign and publish clips from it. Clippers retain ownership of their clips but grant Campaign Owners and Clip Central the right to view, verify and promote those clips in connection with the campaign. You may not scrape, copy or reuse platform data or content without written permission.
9. Acceptable use
Do not: impersonate anyone; submit clips you did not create or that breach a campaign brief; manipulate views, engagement or verification data; attempt to access other users' accounts or payout details; interfere with the platform's operation; or use Clip Central for unlawful purposes. We may investigate and act on suspected abuse, including rejecting clips, withholding earnings and closing accounts.
10. Privacy
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any campaign, clip or view will earn a particular amount, that third-party platforms will keep clips live, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Clip Central is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost earnings or lost content. Our total liability arising from the platform is limited to the fees we received from the campaign concerned in the preceding three months.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be announced on the platform. You may close your account at any time; earned but unpaid amounts above the minimum payout will be settled on the next payout run. We may terminate access for breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes should first be raised through the contact page so we can resolve them directly; otherwise they fall under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
