Privacy Policy

Clip Central ("we", "us") operates the platform at Clip Central, which connects content owners with clippers who cut, publish and promote short-form clips. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Account details. Your email address, name and the role you hold on the platform.

Payout details. If you are a clipper, the bank account details you save for payouts — account holder name, bank name, account number, account type and branch code. We never ask for card numbers or card security codes.

Campaign and clip data. Campaign briefs, submitted video links, posting dates, verified view counts and calculated earnings.

Messages. Messages you send us through the contact form.

Security records. A short audit log of administrative actions (who did what and when), which does not include payout account numbers.

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and show you the right dashboard for your role;
• run campaigns, review clip submissions, verify posting dates and views, and calculate earnings;
• pay clippers by bank transfer using the payout details they saved;
• answer messages you send us;
• keep the platform secure, prevent fraud, and keep the audit log accurate;
• comply with legal obligations.

Your earnings, submissions and payout details are visible to you and to authorised Clip Central administrators who need them to run campaigns and process payouts. Your bank account number is masked in the interface by default and can only be revealed by you or an authorised administrator. Campaign information — including pictures, budgets and progress — is public where a campaign is live. Aggregate campaign budget progress is shown publicly; individual submissions and earnings are not.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that host the platform, store data and deliver email (under contracts that require them to protect it), with payment and banking channels strictly to execute payouts, and where the law requires it. If a Campaign Owner needs payout information to pay you directly, that information is provided to them for payout purposes only.

We protect personal information with access controls, role-based permissions, encryption in transit, and signed, limited-access links for stored campaign images. Only you and authorised administrators can access your payout details. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us straight away if you believe your account has been compromised.

We keep account, campaign and payout records for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for financial, tax and dispute-resolution purposes, after which we delete or anonymise them. Audit logs are kept for a shorter, security-focused period.

Under POPIA you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we process it, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. We will confirm your identity before acting. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you are not satisfied with how we handled your request.

The platform uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to make the dashboard work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves; the latest version always lives on this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you on the platform before it takes effect.
